Located at a strategic spot along harbour front in Tsim Sha Tsui, 1 Peking Road is designed with a devotion to technology and future. The building integrates various advanced features for environmental protection, thoughtfully and skillfully utilising its orientation with front façade facing south and balancing the consideration between view and energy conservation. At the time of its completion, it was a vanguard of modern architecture, first of its kind in Hong Kong, designed with intelligent environmental protection as the primary objective.
Environmental friendly considerations include natural daylighting, shading fins, the advanced triple-layered glazed curtain wall system and the photovoltaic system at roof top. The building was designed to reduce energy consumption of the building and transform the concept of sustainability into architectural features. As a landmark on Victoria Harbour front, 1 Peking Road firmly expresses its confidence and vision towards the future in an impactful manner.
座落於尖沙咀的臨海要衝位置，北京道一號的設計概念顯示出一個對科技與未來的強烈信念，形象鮮明。大厦設計結合了很多先進的環保元素，理性面對建築物正面朝南的特質，平衡了景觀與節能的考慮，是當年香港首座以智能環保作為設計動力的前衛建築。當中包括了大量採用天然採光及遮陽反射板，利用先進的三層透氣玻璃外牆系統，以及屋頂的太陽能發電板屏等，減低大厦的能源消耗，讓環保概念轉化為建築形態，條理清晰。作為維港海濱上的一座耀目地標，它表現了堅定的自信和對未來的憧憬。
